General & Advanced Surgery

We know how overwhelming it can feel when your pet needs surgery. That’s why we approach every procedure with compassion, skill, and a commitment to keeping both you and your pet at ease.

Our team is highly trained in a wide range of general and advanced surgical techniques. From your first consultation through recovery, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. We provide clear communication about the procedure, including risks, benefits, costs, and aftercare instructions. Your pet will be carefully monitored before, during, and after surgery to ensure their safety, comfort, and a smooth recovery.

Pain Management

Just as we aim to keep our pets healthy, we also want them to be comfortable and pain-free. Pain management is a critical aspect of post-surgical care. The treatment plan will vary depending on factors such as the source and severity of the pain, as well as how easily the pet can be medicated. Your veterinarian will create a personalized post-operative pain management plan designed specifically for your pet's needs.

Spay/Neuter Procedure

Neutering, which involves the removal of the testicles in male pets, and spaying, the removal of the ovaries in female pets, are important procedures for every pet owner to consider. These procedures offer numerous benefits, including:
  • Protection against serious health conditions, such as various types of cancer, reproductive tract diseases, and bacterial infections.
  • Reduction of undesirable behaviors, including aggression towards same-sex pets, territory marking, and roaming.
  • Contribution to reducing pet overpopulation and minimizing the number of pets without homes.
We strongly recommend the spay/neuter procedure for nearly all of our patients. While the idea of your puppy or kitten undergoing surgery may be concerning, rest assured that at The Pet Doctor, we take every necessary precaution to ensure your pet’s safety throughout the process.
